Fantasy Game: 10 Weekly Predictions You Can Trust
The Yahoo team offers their most solid football predictions for Week 10.
Deebo Samuel Sr. reminds us of his WR1 status
Samuel’s production has been inconsistent and subpar, with an unreliable goal share and frequent injury problems, but Week 10 is the perfect opportunity to bounce back. As of last week, Samuel is facing a Buccaneers defense that is the nightmare equivalent of leaving a lone child in a candy store. The Bucs have allowed the seventh most points in fantasy against opposing hosts and have been suffocated all year.
This game has one of the highest points of the week, and with the return of Christian McCaffrey, we expect the entire offense of the 49ers to benefit from the volume. Samuel’s strong usage and upside potential could finally give fantasy managers the WR1 flexibility that was missing in the first half of the season. – Tera Roberts
D’Andre Swift has to start
D’Andre Swift has been the dream RB8 since Week 3 despite Caleb Williams’ struggles. The rookie QB has played better at home this season, with the Bears almost the favorites on Sunday. Swift has 108.6 yards from scrimmage and nearly a TD per game in wins this year, and the game script should be good this week.
The Patriots have allowed the fifth-most points to running backs this season, and RBs have averaged 143.5 rushing yards against New England in the last four games. Swift finishes as the fifth top hit this week. – Dalton Del Don
George Kittle returns to the top five
You probably didn’t need anyone to convince you to start Kittle this week, so I’m here to make you feel better about that decision. Kittle is about to face the same Bucs zone defense that allowed Travis Kelce to catch 14 on Monday night.
Overall, Tampa Bay has allowed the most passing yards per game on the season (255.9) and the third-most receiving touchdowns (18). Not surprisingly, they’ve been especially generous against tight ends, giving up the second-most receiving yards to the state (627) and the third-most points per game. the best. Kittle is a close lock to deliver another top-five finish, possibly with his seventh score of the season. – Andy Behrens

Ladd McConkey = The Charger WR to start
The Chargers have continued their tough streak in recent weeks. Since returning in Week 5, Los Angeles ranks second in shutout rate, a far cry from what many feared the offense would be heading into the season. Justin Herbert registered 18 deep attempts in that same season, which is the top mark among quarterbacks.
When guys like Josh Palmer and Quentin Johnston stepped into the end zone last week, make no mistake: Ladd McConkey is the top receiver on this team. The audio and film scores both confirm his authenticity. This week, the Defenders get a game with a Titans defense that is generally a strong unit, but teams have had more chances to attack than to run them. – Matt Harmon
Give Jonnu Smith her flowers
The Miami offense has a bunch of big names, a bunch of star power. I’m not here to promote those guys, but he’s an underrated player. Over the last four weeks, guess who leads the Dolphins in both goals (27) and receptions (21)? That would be a tight end for Jonnu Smith. Now, only one of the four games has actually turned into a proper game, but this week Smith gets a Rams defense that has been the sixth easiest for tight ends. details.
I know we’re all clamoring for Tyreek Hill to go or for De’Von Achane to continue working his magic. But make some room Monday night for the emerging Smith, a regular in Miami. – Scott Pianowski
Burn Tyrone Tracy Jr.
Tracy Jr. made for a great week back. In week 9, Tracy got only 69 yards without points on 17 touches. But the main thing taken from this game was Tracy’s role because it remained strong. He has played 69% of the Giants’ snaps, his most in a game with active Devin Singletary this season. This resulted in Tracy earning 17 wins compared to only seven for Singletary.
In the last two games, with Singles back and healthy, Tracy has played 64% of the snaps and got 40 chances. Singles has only seen 12 chances this season. This week, Tracy will take on the Panthers allowing the most rushing yards in the game. Carolina allowed 215 yards to Alvin Kamara last week. Tracy has to start in this game; there’s a good chance he’ll pass for 100 yards this week. – Sal Vetri
